GTX275 vs HD4980

I've been having trouble choosing which to buy: gtx275 or hd4890. I've looked at benchmarks for both these cards head to head and they go back and forth between whos pulling more fps and i'm unsure which to buy. I'm trying to spend maybe $230 or less so if there's a better card please tell!

GTX275, have a look at this, faster and all round better than the HD4890.

Both are approximately equal in performance.
I would say if ur rig supports CF then buy 4890 and if SLI then 275.

If nothing then GTX 275 would be a better choice.
I don't have any of them but I have read that 4890's emit a LOT of heat.

And use a lot more power at idle, which is where it counts as the majority of PC's seem to be used as gaming machines plus everything else.
