10 gb ram installed but only 4gb ram shown in properties.

Hi I hav 12 gb ram installed on my Asus Rampage Gene II. I have Windows Vista 64-bit installed. But when i checked in properties it shows that only 4gb ram is installed. But in the CPU-Z im gettin tht i have 10gb ram installed. Pls help.

what ram is it.. what timings are you running it at.. what motherboard..
what fsb speed, memory speed, cpu speed, OC? or not?

need more info.
