Alright my only concern is the Zalmen dose not cover the whole Card and some one said the little Heat sinks are no good and Zalmen has a Fancy Lil Heat Sink pack for $30 im definitely not getting that maybe in the future when i order a New Video Card But for now no thanks.....
now the Scythe Looks like it will cover the Entire Card but it cost more and has 2 fans but thats not a big deal
i would have gone with the AC TwinTurbo But Newegg has a bad selection of VGA Coolers
and im Getting Ram: OcZ DDR2 1060 so if any one knows of a better Site with more VGA coolers and this Ram let me know http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6820227298 it has to be that ram cause it is what i have right now
So Dose any one know if the Zalmen being a little shorter will effect any thing on my Card Temp wise and i'm guessing the spot it is not covering is my VRM? is that a big deal or no?
And are there Any Reviews of the Zalmen Vs the Scythe
Also i am always willing to go with Another VGA Cooler if it catches My Eye.....
well im not too crazy about spending that much to cooler a video card, so I would be inclined to get one of those Arctic Cooling Accelero S1 and maybe add that Turbo Module that goes along with it or maybe zip tie some 120mm fans to it or something...
i just bought the zalman vf900 for my original 4850. my temps were 62 idle (42%fan) 82 gaming (42%fan). with the vf900 i keep the speed controler knob all the way down and my temps are 42idle and 56 gaming. it was 35 big ones at the egg. the other one that i would look at is the zerotherm GX815 which looks very similar but it has a temprature sensor on it so you don't have to fiddle with the fan. also i should note the zalman is very quiet even all the way up. the vf1000 i feel cost to much and is kinda over kill for anything less than a 4870.
the zerotherm vga cooler is at zipzoomfly.com they have good prices
