I have a MaxOrb that came with a 3 pin connector and it is connected to the PWR fan 3 pin...what is the difference between the 3 pin PWR_Fan connector vs the 4 pin CPU_Fan connector? I have a M2N-SLI Deluxe mobo. And if the 4 pin is better...how can I connect my 3 pin MaxOrb to that?

I also wanna know the best connection for a front intake fan for my NZXT Apollo case. I have it jumped off of the side intake fan 4 pin connector. I was wondering if it is better to connect it to the mobo's extra CHA_Fan 1-4?

4 pin allows for PWM fan speed control

in any case

a 3 pin fan can be used in a 4 pin header and vice versa as long as you line the pins up correctlr
