I was wondering if anybody was still rocking the ddr2 and playing the newest games at full settings? :sol:

DDR2 should still be fast enough for modern games as long as the rest of the parts are.

Yeah, i don't see the point of having more than 800mhz for just gaming. (atleast today). Unless you're using other applications that require faster ram.
All you really need is a fast video card and Cpu.

Agreed...as long as the rest of the parts can handle it, you should be OK...most games are very GPU intensive and are demanding at times on the CPU, but for the most part, you could be OK with an older rig.
