RAID HDDs without erasing data?

Hello,

I currently have three HDDs in ACHI that I use to store all my movies. And I have another HDD which is blank.

Is there a way to setup a RAID configuration without erasing all my movies on my three HDDs and install Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit on the blank HDD?

Thanks!

no. the creation of the array would destroy all of the data.

You could swap the data to another drive/s that will physically hold it all, build the array, transfer all the data back over to the new array and install the OS to the single HDD.

Thanks for the reply. I had another question. Can I add another HDD joining the array down the road, if I need more space, without erasing the data?

Thanks!
