Computer clicking staying off and then staying on

My computer started clicking and not booting up.The green like in front flashes yellow. I sprayed the inside with canned air to clean out dust and reseated connections. The clicking is coming from the front of the computer. sounds like either the hard drive or CD player. If I try unplugging it and rebooting it several times it works fine. Needless to say I have backed up and my important files. What are your suggestions.

Check your owners manual (troubleshooting.) Download one from
manufacturer's site if you don't have one. (you didn't say what you have)

Run chkdsk /r on that hard drive !
