Just a question. What is the difference between -5v and Ground?

5 volts. :)

Most of the PSU voltages are positive (or above ground: 3.3 volts, 5 volts, and 12 volts.

The -5 volt and -12 volt lines are negative (or below ground). That's what the "-" indicates. It has to do with the direction that current flows in the circuit.

Having said that, modern specifications keep the -12 volt line and do away with the requirement for the -5 volt line. If you look at the main PSU connector, pin 20 where the -5 volt line used to be is empty.
