How can i delete folder without losing

My hard disc had a virus attack , i removed the virus but now all the folders are showing as short cut, i cannot open it. is there a posibility in retiving the contents from the folder.

Open Windows Explorer (Right-Click the Start Button, select Explore) and look at the folders contents and copy out to new folders if desired.

Right-click the new shortcuts. Choose Properties. Look under the Shortcut tab at the Target. That will show where the file(s) went.
