When i open up cpu-z it says my speed is 1600 mhz and mulitplier at 6x...... sometimes i see it at 2900 mhz (stock speed) and multiplier at 11x why doesnt it stay constant at 2900 mhz? thanks.

Energy saving mode is turned on. It's called SpeedStep.
