Looking at a praticular brand of laptops. My budget could get me a i7-730 with a HDD chip or a P9700 laptop with a SSD... whitch one would be better for running things like Photoshop or playing EVE MMO game?

I have read that many MMOs run better on SSDs due to the masses of textures that need to be pulled from the HDD, however Photoshop will probably like the brute force of the i7, combined with masses of RAM.

Good advice... trouble is Dell Studio 16... base price £800 with 4GB of DDR3 for 8GB add £350 not realy worth it if you ask me so I might go with the last generation CPU and a 256GB SSD and get better boot times and less heat.
