I have an ATI 4890 1GB Video Card. Right now I have my monitor (with speakers built in) connected to an hdmi port. I also have an HDTV (with speakers built in) connected to another port. The other port is using a DVI to HDMI adaptor and it does carry sound!
The problem is, when I want to watch something from my PC on the TV, the TV has video but I don't know how to switch the sound to it. Right clicking on the Sound Options in Windows and selecting playback devices (making sure all disconnected and disabled devices are still showing) there are only 4 options:
ATI HDMI Output (this is what my monitor's speakers use)
Speakers (it says it's not plugged in)
Realtek digital output
Realtek digital output (optical)
How would I switch the sound to the HDTV instead of the monitor's speakers when both are connected via HDMI?
