Hi,

I just installed a silicon image sata raid controller card. When i boot the computer the Silicon Image Raid Utility screen does not come up. Why? oh the motherboard i am using is a gateway motherboard with the intel d875PDZ chipset. dont know if that helps. in the motherboards bios i have already disabled the gateway splash screen but the Silicon Image Raid Utility still does not show up. Please help me out here. With out the Utility screeen I can set up my raid array. Also I am using Windows XP. If it helps, but please help me.

thanks

Look up in instructions what to press to enter the Raid menu on your card (like F10) and keep pressing it repeatedly on boot up even if u don't see the text asking u to press it.

You might not have Raid version of the card so there will be no raid menus.

If u can update the bios of the card, will have to go manufacturer web site to find latest.

Some cards can be both as needed Raid or simply controller card (by flashing it with different bios, or switch)
