Hello!
Today i install a new CPU 3,0 Ghz Duo in a M/B Gigabyte GA-EP31-DS3L and 4GB x DDR2 800.

My problem is that when i start the pc, it stucks on the startup bios screen

(the one that shows the logo and the button you have to press in order to enter bios or continue)

and my PS2 Keyboard, as well every USB device is getting dead.

I cant press any button so i cant continue my pc to boot on windows.

Every advice would be appreciated :S

Try disconnecting all the usb devices except the keyboard. If you get "cmos error" also try getting into the bios to disable "spread spectrum" in the advanced chipset section.

I disconected all the USB devices and left only keyboard. The keyboard is stil not responding. Although the NumLock buttON sometimes is functioning the rest of keys are dead.

I cant access the bios settings without keyboard. I cant press the button required to enter the bios and do adjustments :/

I m thinking maybe there need any adjuctions on motherboard to be done. But i have never seen a problem like this again.

Well solution found.
I changed slots to memories and it worked.
Maybe they are problematic cause it cannot recognize 4 GB but only 2 and 3 with the various combinations :/
