I am building a dual x5550 xeon system on x8dah+F supermicro mobo. The power supply i had planned on getting was a Silencer 910 from PC P&C. However they are out and it is not in stock anywhere. They have D/C'd since they have a new line coming out in Nov. The 910 becomes a 950. Anyway i need alternative power supply choices. The board needs a 24 pin and two 8 PIN 12V connections. Board is here:
http://www.supermicro.com/products/motherboard/QPI/5500/X8DAH+.cfm

Some of the ones i have looked at:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139007&Tpk=corsair%20power%20supply

I spoked with Alan at PC P&C and he suggested the following two based on the requirements.

http://www.pcpower.com/power-supply/turbo-cool-860.html

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817341028

I'd like some recommendations from the community. Any input greatly appreciated...

Thanks. Any thoughts as to the quietness factor?

I had heard the turbo cools were noisy. Alan did say there is the 860 is about 5-7 db more noisy than the ocz or silencer line. I like the 7 yr warranty of the turbo cool and it is designed for servers. However the efficiency and quietness of the ocz is nice too.
Edit: Appears that the 860 turbo cool is not available anymore either. Cannot find it in stock anywhere. I gues PC P&C is revamping their entire line.

Thanks. The enermaxs looks very good also. From what i have read single vs multiple 12v rails is not a big deal as long as the PSU has all the connectors one needs, right?

Also the enermax has 8 pin cpu and 4+4 CPU connectors while the ocz (base on the diagram) has two 8 pin. Does that make a difference given my mobo choice?

Edit: Looks like the OCZ is also a 8 ppin and 4/4 pin cpu connectors.

Well ihave it narrowed down to either the ocz z series 1000 watt or enermax 850 or 950 revolution. The ocz is single rail which OCZ marketing touts as being superior to multi rail while enermax has 6 rails. The enermax has received some great reviews too and they have rebates. Not sure how to pick...
Goint to try one more supplier for the 910 silencer tomorrow also.

Edit: Not getting the enermax - warranty is only 3 yrs.

I second... nice choice of components. I have used Seasonic before (500W) and encountered no problems with it (using it for morethan 3 yrs). I also used Enermax with my other PC and seems to be working fine. I'm fine with 3 years warranty, it's basically an estimate anyways.

Well i tried xoxide and they too are out of the silencer 910 and turbocool 860
I checked out Antec - they dont have the 2 8 pin or 1 8 pin and 1 4+4 connectors based on the photos on their site

I ended up getting the enermax revolution 850 despite the warranty being only 3 yrs. Has a 70 dollar rebate :) The reviews for the new enermaxs were all good.
I ruled out Antec, Seasonic, Seventeam b/c as best as i can tell their PSUs dont have the 2x 8 pin connectors. The corsair 1000 i think would have been fine too. I ruled out ocz b/c of the price and despite its gold cert the efficiency is not better than a lot of silver cert PSUs. The OCZs just cost too much for what you get. The enermax 850 will get me by for now. I really want to see what PC P&C rolls out in Nov. If they have something really good may i will switch out the psu.
