Hi,I'm sending this e-mail from another P/C mine is
down.My problem started when I installed an out of date
Easy CD Creator on my p/C by mistake. The program was for
Windows 98 and I have Windows XP Home Edition full
install.I have three volums 4,5,6. I installed 5.When I re-
started my P/C I got a error message "Your Hal.dll is
missing or corrupt.Re-install the Hal.dll. Hit any key to
re-start." I tried to re-start Windows in safe mode. When
I got to safe mode there was a list of how to start in
safe mode.I tried to re-start to restore from an earlier
date. All of the recovery dates were gone, erased!I re-
started in safe mode again.I put Recovery Console on my
P/C awhile back to fix a Boot.ini file. I thought I would
try that. What a mistake that was.I could not get ride of
it.My last try was the XP start up disks. I thought
everything was going ok until disk #4. A few seconds after
I put in the disk I got another error message "The
dmio.system is corrupted. Push any key to re-start." I
tried dumping the cmos removing the battery and moving the
peg bar swiching it back.I was trying anything at this
point.I tried to re-install windows, that didn't work.
I hope there is someone out there that can please
help me. My thanks to everyone in advance.
