9800 GT with EVGA Precision

I have a Genuine 9800 GT and I just installed EVGA Precision and I was wondering, is there a possibility of putting the fan speed too high? Will it break or something or is the problem only that it gets loud?

The looud is the main issue. But i think you could shorten the lifespan of the fan if you run it 100% 24/7.

BTW youll notice that over 70-80% there are near NO change in the cooling. My GTX285 is @ 60-70% when im gaming.

The only thing you will notice running higher than 60% fanspeed is noise. I run my sli 8800gt (single slot coolers) at 55-60%
