Password protected sharing xp and vista

i have set up a file sharing network between two vista computers and a desktop with windows xp. the 2 vista computers can share files and everything is working fine. the problem is when i try to access shared files on the vista computers with the xp computer it doesn't ask for a password even when password protected sharing is turned on. the same happens when i try to access shared files on the xp computer - it doesn't ask for a password.

Same or different user on all systems?

hi friends,

if u get troubles in file sharing just turn off password protected share in vista
and open administrator account it will be hidden. and set password
then u will be able to access file sharing in vista and xp
