I am getting 10 lines of different colors going straight up and down my Dell LCD screen. Do I need a new screen, or a video card? New drivers? Do I have to replace the motherboard? Help!

Laptop, out of warranty... if the computer hasn't been dropped, I'd say a new motherboard is required... there is no video card on a laptop, just a chip set... The replacement motherboard will cost $300+ USD and won't guarantee you'll fix the problem... another $200 will buy you a new machine, and a little more will get you a desktop with monitor and all, consider your options...
