Hi all.
I just finished installing my water cooling system and wondered if my cpu temps are fine

q8200 oc'ed to 3.0ghz
2 ATI HD5850's oc'ed 690/1088

idle temps

cpu: cores 37c-39c
gpu: 31c

Prime 95 and video stress test

cpu: no more than 50c
gpu no more than 35c

I know the gpu temps are great but i dont feel comfortable with the cpu temps. running a koolance cpu-340 with 3/8" tubing and a swiftech 360 radiator and a 500L pump

thanks

CPU temps are perfectly ok.... water cooling is often judged how effective it is wrongly.

Water cooling a PC (CPU or GPU) is not about massive temperature drops but how effectively the cooling loop can sustain a lower temperature even when heavily loaded.

I know some people with air cooled Q8200's that get similar temps as you in idle but dont get anywhere near as close loaded.

Also, my motherboard in making my core voltage 1.55v that seems way too high.

1.55 is definitely too high, drop it down to the minimum required voltage for that cpu at that clock, and you should see very large temp. decreases.

50 is still high for good water cooling.... just my opinion.

thanks, dropped the voltages down to 1.26 and the temps dropped to 47c max for core 1. max for 2,3,4 are 43c.
