Hey all.
I've recently started having an issue with my hard drive on boot up. Everything works fine when it is booted but it takes a while to get there.
My PC hangs at the Auto detecting SATA1...IDE Hard Drive message in the BIOS. It takes about 20 seconds to detect but it always does in the end. I've tried a different cable and a different port and had no success.
It's a bog standard 250GB Maxtor jobby and the Mobo is a P6X58D-E by ASUS.
Any suggestions?
Also, It's a SATA hard drive, so why does it say IDE Hard Drive in the auto detect message?
Many thanks,
Dan
