Hi. I'm looking to purchase a new PCIE graphics card for an i7 based PC running windows xp. What I'm interested in is good image quality for normal 2d desktop applications, such as photoshop.
Most graphics cards seem to be geared towards 3D, and always seem to be benchmarked this way.
The best 2d image quality I've seen is on my apple brand laptop. Colours there seem much clearer and sharper and more vibrant than on the PC's I've tried, and this is observed across a variety of different monitors. I dislike this laptop for every other reason expect graphics though.
Can you advise on which cards would be best for my needs. A dual monitor cards would be preferred, but is not essential. A range of price options would also be good.
