welcome to the forums newcomer!
if you're not looking at getting an aftermarket cooler, then what kind of cooelr are you running off now?

MSI after burner is a great freeware that you can use for any card.

Provided its upto it. May we have the specs for your machine?

Havent received my machine yet but:

Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition
EVGA GTX 460 1gb
4 gb GSkill Ram
MSI 870S-G46 AM3 AMD 870 SATA 6Gb/s ATX AMD Motherboard

So when using MSI Afterburner, I just increase the frequency in small increments and run stress test, and once it starts failing up the voltage a litttle.
This is the graphics card by the way: EVGA 01G-P3-1371-TR GeForce GTX 460 (Fermi) 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card

How much do you think I can increase before I have to raise voltage? and I'm not using any extra fans. Just the 2 intake case fans and 1 exhaust case fans. I'm leaving the graphics card as is with the mounted fan on the card.

Thanks

you left the case out of system specs. Pics would also help if its an unfamiliar brand.

The GTX 4xx series were notorious for being heatware apart from being the new kid on the block at that time. If you plan on OC'ing that card with its stock cooling, make sure newegg will give you warranty on basis of user malpractice :p  which i'm sure they won't.

that stock cooler is good but not THAT good for cooling an OC'ed GPU. The 460 is also a hotter running GPU compared to its 560 older brother.

upping voltages mean more heat being spat out by the cooler.

Before you i answer your questions and an OC, look into an aftermarket cooler :)  will keep you happy for a LONG time to come.

I will be looking for another cooler. Would overclocking a little bit without changing the stock voltage work?
