Hey folks,

Got a new system and it has a GT 200 card in it. My old system has a 9800 GT and I am wondering which card would be ebtter for my gaming experience? Not too up on this GT 220 so thought I would get you all's opinion.

Thanks!

i just bought an asus engt220 1Gb ddr3 128bit card which for half the price of the 256bit sparkle 9800gt seemed pretty good.
the specs i compared for the two of them werent THAT much different and the clock speed of the engt220 being just slightly faster. also the 9800gt doesnt have directX 10 support whereas the gt220 supports 10.1.

i thnk the 9800gt is better

ive got a sff dell gx745 and am limited to the card i can get. needing to be low profile.

i was originally wanting a gtx260 but it doesnt come in low pro. so i settled on the engt220 after shopping around.
the price was 63GBP.

the 9800gt is a better card to get on paper.

(note: i wouldve bought the sparkle 9800gt if i had found one that didnt take up 2 slots as i have only one)

Pinpoint...

how can you make clames when you have no idea what you are talking about?? the 9800gt DOES SUPPORT DX10 and there is hardly, if any, difference between DX10.0 and DX10.1. secondly the gt9800 will blow the gt220 out the water completely, the gt220 is a budget card with half the performance of the gt9800 (you will literally get half the frames if you're lucky), it has more than double the raster operators, shader units, cuda cores and you cant compare core clock when they use different cores! And lastly, the performance difference between the gt9800 and the gtx260 in real world is huge, the gtx260 is just so much better.
:pfff:
