Trouble installing HDD

Hello,
I am having trouble getting my hard drive installed. I have tried plugging it into the sata 6gps port and the marvell 6gps port. It is recognised under the marvell software as unconfigured. There is no option to format, and it doesn't show up in windows. How do I get my hdd to be 'configured' or formatted so that it shows up in windows.

My hdd is the Seagate barracuda xt 2TB.

Hey Thalmighty,

You may need to open disk management when the drive is connected. See if you are able to initialize the drive and/or format. Also, check the device manager and see if the drive can be seen by windows. Both these menus should be under the control panel
