Windows recovery console does not respond

Hello,
I have got hte BSOD, i have tried starting normally, last known safe, safe mode, and all of the above whilst electing recovery console, but all i ever get is hte recvoery console starting up, the please wait dashed bar at the bottom, which becomes fully white as it progresses, i get an option to hit F6 to use 3rd part device etc, which i do not select, and then i go to black screen then back to same BSOD, can anyone advise me hot to fix please?

You don't need the recovery console. You need the XP installation disk. Follow the directions at the top of this forum for "repair install."
