I turned xmp on in bios and it says its running at 2133mhz, which is the speed of my ram but cpu-z says mt ram is running at 800mhz (x2=1600) which is what my ram was running at before i enabled xmp. is there any other way to check that it is running at the right speed or should i just set the frequency manually?

CPU-z is usually pretty accurate. XMP is 1600MHz as far as I know. To clock higher im almost certain you'll need to start manually adjusting settings.

X.M.P will run the RAM at whatever the default for that RAM is, my RAM in X.M.P runs @ 1866mhz.

Well XMP said it was running at default speed/timings but it wasn't till i manually set it that way that CPU-z was telling me my ram was running at proper speeds.
