Cannot install windows xp with ide

hello guys,
I have a problem...
I was install windows XP in my computer with SATA interface and it work,
but i try to install windows XP with IDE HDD interface and it doesnt work,,,
in the start at windows XP shows Windows XP professional SATA and my computer get blue screen...

maybe i have trouble with "CHKDSK" or something i forget,
please tell me what should i do

How are you installing it on the IDE drive, from the start with a format, etc...? How far does the setup go?
