To be clear, have you installed both sticks on slots with the same color?

hi,
thanks for your reply, i have it installed in the same colour slots running dual channel,i phoned the supplier from whom i purchased the memory,
i they had me run memtest, which showed thousands of errors on the memory,i have since returned the memory to them and they have run there own test and their test results show it has failed their memtest testing.
so iam waiting for some replacement memory to arrive.

You have 2 different ram sticks; one runs faster than the other. Actual system speed is probably the slower speed. Cpuid is just showing you the rated speed for each stick.
