Hi there,

After a few major mistakes, posting-wise, I have come to the right forums in seek of your advice! I just bought an AMD Phenom II X4 Quad Core 940 Black Edition 3.0GHz (Socket AM2+) for my motherboard addressed above, and the system boots no problem, but the monitor stays on standby, and refuses to boot up with the rest of the computer. I don't get the beep to essentially give the all clear and boot the OS up. Instead I get no beep, and a new green LED lit on the motherboard beside the red LED that is usually lit on this motherboard.

I am just wondering if the CPU could be screwed before purchased or is there something I could do to remedy to situation? I really appreciate your time folks, thanks in advance.

Chris.

another note: the current (soon to be previous, I hope!) CPU I am using is an AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 4600+ 2.40GHz (Socket AM2)
