I have an hp model #p6130y with the AMD phenom x 4 9750 2.4ghz with am 2+ socket want to upgrade to the AMD phenom 2 x 4 955 3.2ghz am 3 socket would it work??

shubham1401 that link for that HP is not the one I curently have it for a different computer or dose that matter?? considering that motherboard are the same but with different hp names???

nope it isn't.
it says max tdp 95w when new phenomII x4 are 125 or 145

yea but if you do a search on newegg and look at spec on the 9750 which is in the HP now it says 125w and the look at the specs for the new 955 chipset on newegg as well it says 125w but the 965 says 145w which I know that isnt going to work

Your will also probably need to flash your BIOS to a more recent version if the motherboard is old
