Here is a review of that card...It is compared with a O/C HD 4870(Similar performance of a stock HD 4890)...So this should give an idea of its performance...
And as you have selected the O/C HD 4890, the difference would be even more...

^ You have not given the resolution @ which you game...
And 2GB on a graphics card is of little or no use...they are more of a marketing gimmick rather than an upgrade for performance increase...
The current cards, cannot fully utilize that much memory as they have a limited memory lanes...
Here is a review of a similar kind card - GTX 275 with double the memory...Just see the benchies...It would be the same with the 4870...
http://www.guru3d.com/article/evga [...] mb-review/

So outright the 4890 Toxic 1GB should be able to give better performance than that 2GB 4870...

With either of the cards, that HEC 500W is pushing it...maybe it could power the 4870...

I hate reviewers that give reviews on cards and lead everybody to think that the extra memory is there to give you higher frame rates. At higher resolutions I think the extra memory would help, especially with draw distance. ( you get to see more, whereas things pop up all of a sudden as you move closer to objects. It'll also help with AA ) I see this as a plus at my res 16x10 with 896 vs 1792. The extra memory does help in several games.
My next card/cards will have more than 1gig of memory, but will be DX11 capable. I see no advantage over what I already have because the cards are too slow.
