PCI Express x16, v1 compatible with v2 please heeeelp...?

hi all

can u please help me.............?

I'm looking to upgrade my video card. My motherboard is Gigabyte ga-ep31-ds3l Model.

and i am getting a new video card that requires a PCI 2.0 slot.

will a video card that needs a PCI Express 2.0 slot work in my motherboard that has PCI

Express x 16 slots?

i will be very proud of u to help meeeeeeeee...!

Short answer, yes, you'll be fine. Just make sure that your PSU can handle the added load of the new card.

PCI-E 2.0 is backwards compatible with PCI-E 1.0 (aka x16)

my card is : EVGA 01G-P3-1155-TR GeForce GTS 250 1GB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card

mother board is: ASUS P5P43TD Pro LGA 775 Intel P43 ATX Intel Motherboard
