I am looking for a silent PSU any where around 350W +. This is for my Sliverstone LC17 case, looked at some fanless ones however they seem very expensive. I want to spend no more than £40.00 used or new. The problem is you never know how loud they are until you hear one, I mean who knows how loud 19dB is in real life? And with a bit of dust on them they always make more noise. It must have PCi-ex and SATA connections on it.

Was just after some first hand experience with something quiet.

By the way It will be powering e6300, GA-P965-DS3, Ballistix DDR2 2 GB an HD3450 couple of HDD and a blu ray

looks good, however they are very expensive and there doesn't seem to be many there. Like one or two in each range. Am i looking in the wrong place?

The problem is silence and cooling fans are opposites. Typically a compromise has to be reached.

I understand this however I am just looking for the most quiet for the money. They all claim to be quiet. There are ones on ebay that claim to be silent for around £15.00 but i'm not falling for that
