Here is the build...

Core i7 920 D0 Batch#3926A286
EVGA X58 Motherboard
Corsair H50 Water Cooler (among several others that we have tried)
OCZ Modstream Pro 700W PSU

Tools used to monitor...

CPUZ
Real Temp
Core Temp
HW Monitor Pro
EVGA ELEET

At stock everything, the core temps idle around around 42C and go up to 62C on load (~1.18 vcore). Any bump in vcore and we are into the low-70's. Here is what we have tried to do so far to determine the issue.

1) Tried multiple heatsinks/coolers including the Intel stock heatsink, Arctic Cooling Freezer Extreme, and the Corsair H50. The Corsair H50 is the coolest but temps are still high on average. The temps mentioned above are with the Corsair.
2) We RMA'd the CPU and got another one. Temps were the same. They are probably from the same batch since we bought them within a week of each other from a retail store, but my best guess is that our problem is not the CPU.
3) We also tried multiple heatsink/themal paste experiments using arctic silver 5 (line method) and IC Diamond. Temps stay the same. I know it's not a mounting issue. I have built MANY computers and all run icy-cool except this one. I know there is a burn-in period, but you usually only get back 2-5C and we are 10-15C high.

This leaves us with the motherboard. Should we RMA it? It's the only other logical issue. Any known issues with the EVGA board.

Either that or we are getting CPU's from a bad batch. Any known issues with the batch I mentioned at the top?

What do you all think? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
