hey guys ive got a slight problem here.. whenever im running an application that requires my graphics card (mostly games), about 10 mins into the game, my computer just freezes. at first i thought i got a faulty card, but didnt find anything about that online, but i did see that it needs 26A on the 12v rail.
im very confused coz till yesterday i found that it stopped hanging if i manually put the fan speed to about 75%, but then it hung twice yesterday...
ive got a cooler master eXtreme power 500 psu, and i checked the specs and its got 2 12v rails, each with 16A. one is connected to the motherboard and he other to the card. so does that mean the card's getting only 16A and hence its hanging? or am i wrong and it getting enough coz the 12v connected to the mobo gives it some of its power too? so then is it a faulty card?
hello.... anyone there?
well lots has happened since i last posted.. my power supply was faulty so i returned it and im getting a corsair 620hx instead.. i got a cm extreme power 460 temporarily while they order the corsair.. but my computer wouldnt boot up after they put in the cm 460 so they suspected it was a motherboard fault and they tried a different motherboard and it ran fine.. i took it home to try it out and it still does hang, but not as soon.. while playing crysis, after about 15 mins it either starts to lag a little and finally hangs or during action scenes the screen bcomes almost completely blank but i can hear the game running.. same thing with grid.. what should i do now?
