I have an abnormal question: does anyone know how to remove a Sunbeam Core-Contact Freezer from a BIOSTAR TFORCE TA790GX 128M mobo? The way this thing clamps down makes it impossible for a simple uninstallation.

A friend is buying this unit and wants the stock AMD cooler to replace the Sunbeam after market cooler. It seems like one of those after market items that goes by "once it's on, it's on for good."

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

It just secures like the stock cooler I think... but yes they can be stubborn. Tools can be used if you are careful. Needle nosed pliers are helpful.

Thanks, Proximon. I'm assuming it's wiser to remove the MOBO from the case? I was trying to avoid that but I don't want to damage anything.
