Intel® Core™ 2 Duo T9600 (6MB cache/2.8GHz/1066Mhz FSB)
Right now I can buy the same laptop build (both dell studio xps) with the i7 around $200 cheaper. it also has better sound and network card than the core 2 duo laptop and a 9 cell battery compared to a 6. the only benifit of the core 2 duo is that the warrenty is 2 years instead of 1, but i could upgrade the i7 and they would be the same price.
duo I say. BUT if you only use it for normal application (like writing, net browsing and porn?!)
If they both have the same graphics card, the i7 has a bigger battery, the i7 is faster, the i7 has a better sound card, the i7 has a better network card, the i7 has lower idle power (which is what determines battery life under normal use), AND the i7 is cheaper and comes with a $100 gift card, what possible reason could there be to get the Core 2?
Oh, and the 4670, while not great compared to desktop cards, is a good choice for that notebook. It's about the most powerful card you can get without significantly eating into your battery life or heating up your laptop too much. It should be plenty capable of midrange gaming, especially paired with the i7.
Both come with the ATI Mobility RADEON™ HD 4670 – 1GB.
Thanks for the help, I thought the i7 should be better but the prices really confused me. Will that graphics card do pretty well for average gaming. Im not a crysis addict or anything.
