Thanks for any help

MoBO: ASUS M4A785TD-V EVO
CPU: Phenom II X3 710

I've just upgraded Xp 32bit to windows 7 64bit, then i upgraded BIOS from original to 512. Now windows wont start when i try to OC my CPU past 5 %, Overdrive crashes at about the same. Before, i was able to push CPU to 3.4 no problem. Also, i cont unlock the 4th core anymore. IGP overclocks fine.

I think the problem is new bios, so I'm trying to downgrade it--with no luck. Through AsusUpgrade it tells me that EERPROM is incompatible, and EZ FLASH 2 tells me that this version (to which one im downgrading) is an earlier version than i got.

Can anyone help with my OC issues or help me downgrade my bios?

Thaks.

You can get a floppy or usb drive for flashing the bios. The old fashion way still works; most manufacturer's offer both a dos bios and windows bios file. I have used bootdisk.com for creating a floppy boot disk; you'll need a separate one for the bios file. You boot up with the bootdisk, then switch to your bios diskette for flashing.
