I am building a relatively power hungry setup.

Gigabyte 790X Mobo
AMD PII X4 955
2 4890 XFX Xtreme(NOT XXX Edition) Card(2 6 pin a piece....I plan on using 1 adapter 2X3pin-6pin per card and the stock PCI-E adapter on each aswell)
4gb PNY Optima 1333 DDR3 Ram
A Sony Optiarc DVD Burner/CD Burner
and 2 HDD's

I was curious as to if my OCZ ModXStream Pro 500W Modular would do the job. I mean my current SLI Setup with 2 8800GTS 640mb cards only has 500 and seems to do fine no BSODs and such...

So I am asking you guys your opinion I have the PSU on the way already but now I'm questioning the Integrity of the 500W build...I know others use 1000W and never get close to touching the top on that PSU...

Thanks,

Cristian Thompson.

I know this, but I'm asking anyone who is running these cards. I mean, realistically they recommend far higher than is actually ever used. As was the case with every component I've ever used at least.

I know corsair is a respected brand but I've found Antec to be the most stable under high draw situations so I chose the Antec from past experience.

Thanks though Orange
