Will HD 4850 1GB struggle with 1920 x 1080?

I would be doing basic gaming. So I wouldn't mind lowering the settings a bit (within reason) to get that big of a monitor. If you need specifics here you go:

I can say from experience that a 1GB 4850 will handle that resolution just fine. I've seen a 512MB 4850 play most current games on high settings at that resolution with 30+ FPS so that one should even better.

That's just a tad more expensive then most 512MB models and this one comes with 1GB and a superior cooler then most 4850s. It's not a steal, but it's still priced fair.

Though it's just $20 less then a more powerful 4870, I wouldn't discourage buying the 4850. First hand I've seen it perform very well (my wife has one), it's an under-rated card for someone wanting lots of power that just can't afford to go any higher on the price point.

4870 for the same price as the 4850. The 4870 should outperform the 4850 at that resolution by a bit even though it has less memory.
