No display at all after plugging in s video

Hi folks,

Very frustrated. Got to this forum after googling my prob & it gave me this...

However, my problem differs in that I have no display at all.

System: Windows XP Pro S Pack 3. Video card: nVidia Geforce FX5600.

Problem: I wanted to broadcast streaming internet on my TV so, after powering down both 'puter & TV, I connected an s video cable to my 'puter then TV. When I tried to boot my pc, I got a green light for a few seconds, then heard a click & 2 seconds later the monitor went on standby.

This is now the situation without the s video cable attached or, for that matter, without the PC on (when I turn on the monitor, I get a green light for a few seconds, then hear a click & 2 seconds later the monitor goes on standby).

I have tried an alternative monitor & it acts identically as above.

Please help, it's my wife's computer & she says she's gonna take mine!
