iam thinking of buying the 4870x2 sapphire addition, was looking for a good cooler zalman has the vf1000, but will it work w/the two processor chipset? and how good are thay, trying to keep the case cool 'cause i know thay run upwards of 60 to 70 degrees c. any one with experance with these, need some advice. thanks

a few coolers are specialty built for the 4870 x2 ( work on the 3870 x2 aswell), look round for one.

Better than the 4870X2? He doesn't want lots of heat. a gtx295 pumps out just as much...

Anyway.. Keeping these dual GPU cards cool is a bit of a task. Are you worried about ambient heat in the case, or about cooling the GPU enough to allow overclocking?

ur right the gtx 295 pushes as much or more heat, iv found a good cooler for the 4870 x2, and and i like the amd, price, quality, ect, and going to buy the new 4950x2 in september anyway and use the 4870 x2 for my sons computer. so thanks agine
