Hi, uinsure if this should be in the Win7 or XP forum but here goes...

My company have provided an HP6200SFF with Win7 Pro, however all other PCs use XP therefore it needs to have XP loaded. I have tried to load XP Pro and during the first screen it starts to load all drivers then goes to the BSOD, it doesnt allow me to install XP. I have tried with a different hard drive.

Any suggestions...I need this PC to be running XP and it does not want to play! Could it be the BIOS is needing changing? Any idiot proof guidelines would be appreciated.

Happy holidays!

To get a hint, research the stop code on the BSOD.

Hi,

Upon booting the PC with XP install CD it starts to load files the it moves to `Setup is starting windows' it is at this stage the BSOD appears with the following stop code:

Stop 0x0000007B (0xF78D2524, 0xC0000034, 0x00000000, 0x00000000)

Thanks in advance!

I think you're wasting your time. It's probably the hard drive controller and I'll bet HP doesn't make an XP version available.
