Hi everyone. I just bought a Samsung SyncMaster 171p (yeah yeah the Porsche one) :) and while its a fab monitor, the pivot pro software doens't work for crap. I have tried connecting digitally and analog and I can only get the display to rotate 180 degrees but not 90 degrees. An hourglass icon comes up for a fraction of a second but nothing happens. So I checked Pivot Pro's compatability list and they don't have anything newer than the GeForce 3 listed!! I have an Asus GeForce 4 Ti4200.

So anyways to get to my point. I thought pivoting was done entirely in the hardware but I'm thinking now that I was wrong. Is their lack of support for this card the reason that I can't pivot? Because it doesn't know how to tell the card to flip?

Any help greatly appreciated!

Pivot is a software function, not hardware.

I just got a response from the software company and I've been signed up for the next beta releae, which has greater support for nvidia cards. Hopefully it'll solve my problem. Thanks. :)

How's this LCD? Can you share some thoughts?
I'm planning on purchasing this LCD pretty soon.

Thanks
