Your question

Motherboards with TPM chip? Asus Rampage Gene II?

Last response: in Windows 7

I want to get bitlocker working using TPM but don't know how to work out if my motherboard has it.

The mobo is an Asus Rampage 2 gene. I can't see anything about it in bios, or on their website.

Do all mobo's have this nowdays? Or is it only laptop motherboards?

Ps I can't check at this point using win7 itself because I've only got win7 professional installed and have to go change it to ultimate or enterprise so it has bitlocker (I think). I can't see it listed under devices/security, altho I don't know if this is because of the version of win7 or because the mobo doesn't have TPM.

OK this asus board doesn't but other ones have a TPM header on them.

Only where to you buy the module that plugs into the header??

You Have to Have the "Ultimate" Version. Once you have it go to Control Panel and click on Bitlocker and you will be told if your system has what is needed to run Bitlocker.
