I have Comcast wireless Internet that is working fine on my Mac laptop, but not on my Windows XP desktop (which is connected to the internet via a USB connector). I have tried rebooting the modem, router, USB, computer, tried turning off firewall and reconnecting.... nothing works! Comcast said the signal from their end is fine and working. Any ideas?

It's a netgear USB wifi adapter. Turns out (after calling Netgear) that it needed a software update! After a whole day of moving the computer across the house to connect to the Internet and download the hefty software.... problem solved!
