Computer restarts continuously after having the old hard drive

i have my old hard drive trying to work with another computer. When i took my hard drive out of my old computer and put it to another computer it gets to the loading bar of Windows XP. Then eventually after a few seconds when it should continue to start up, a blue screen shows and the computer restarts. The second time i tried, the same thing happened. So i tested the other hard drive and it works.

Does reformatting the hard drive will help to work with the other computer?

Any help would be appreciated. :)

  1. If you take your boot drive and install it on a different pc with a different hardware you have to reinstall windows.
  2. You can't expect a hard drive with drivers for hardware from a different computer to boot up another computer with different hardware.
