I guess there will be no overclocking for my i7-860 on my Gigabyte P55 motherboard.

There are a lot of problems with burnt processors with this socket.

Ouch.Yes it does look like the problem is severe because of the defective Foxconn sockets used on many (most) of the motherboards.I guess it's better to stick with the X58 i7's and AM3 Phenom II's until the problem is resolved.Too bad as I was thinking about going for an i5 build myself.I guess I'll have to build a more expensive X58 i7 system instead.
