Losing internet connection at the router

For the last 3 days I have had to unplug and re-plug my the connection to my wireless router because I have lost internet connection. By re-plugging the connector cable from the Cisco wireless router to the electrical outlet, I instantly have restored the internet connection. But, this only lasts for a couple to hours or so. Why?

You might check and see if there is an updated firmware for your router and update it.
